About This Buddhist Life

I was not always looking in this direction.

My name is Brian, and this website is a personal exploration of Buddhism.

I wasn’t raised as a Buddhist, and I certainly haven’t mastered the path.

Like many people, I’ve spent much of my life searching for certainty. What I eventually found was something quieter: a way of looking at experience that asks for observation instead of unquestioning belief.

This website isn’t written by a teacher.

It’s written by a fellow traveller.

If my reflections encourage you to explore your own experience with a little more curiosity and kindness, then they’ve done their job.

May you be well, happy and peaceful.

  1. Hello Brian,
I wasn’t raised as a Buddhist either and would say that a Fellow Traveller is a wonderful description. I made many Dharma Yatra walks in France and they have given me an extra dimension to the way I live my life. Thanks for your beautiful sharings

  2. Brian, your site has a very nice feel to it and I wish you much success and happiness in your adventure. You have a refreshing attitude that will draw people. Thanks. Jeff

    1. Jeff, thank you for your very kind comment and wishes for myself and my site. Drawing people is a very slow process but I enjoy writing on my reflections as a Buddhist so I am content to watch the slow trickle of engagement. 🙏🕉️

    1. Thank you for your heartfelt comment. My blog posts are always about my own experiences as an ageing Buddhist, never teaching or preaching. It means a lot to me when someone recognises that and appreciates what I share. 🙏🕉️🙏🕉️
